    >as the cognitive capacity of the species increases, the males will start to build pillow forts, as an extension of their nest building behaviours steming from mating habits. I also cant w8 for the dads to tell their children "eat your candy", which will be met with resistance from the grubs "but dad! They have no taste!". To which the parent will respond "human research shows sugar is calorie-dense. U need energy for school". And there, the young will state their dreams: when i grow up, i want to be a woman.

One detail I noticed is, at 1:09:25 Biblaridon mentioned that the paleotects are not adapted for persistence hunting like humans are. This means that they likely will not have as much of a “determination” to keep doing things like we humans do, and would have less of an attitude compared to us humans. Therefore, the neotectons will not be prepared for humanity and will learn the wrath and power of the indomitable human spirit! WE own the birthright to the stars!

The amount of absolute ignorance in this comment section is staggering. How are you people incapable of hearing the fact that this person isn't actually pushing the car whatsoever? That thing i bet isnt even breaking 4k rpm. Not even building boost because they arent flooring it whatsoever. People making comments about the short gears. Fucking hur dur, it sounds like short gears when they short shift intentionally. How old are you people? 12? Probably dont even know what driving is yet but already criticizing someones very well built twin turbo LS swapped BMW E30 as if you have even the slightest clue what any of that is like. Some of you need to get a grip and stop acting like you know something is slow when it wasnt even close to being pushed in the first place. Internet only car people never actually been to car shows or ridden in some fast cars or went around a track in their life trying to talk shit about people that have and are doing it in real life fucking kill me.

Cognitive linguist here. I found this pretty good, but I have to make a correction that might seem picky. Gender etc. are based on pragmatics and syntactics, not semantics, except in minor part that is difficult for English speakers to understand because English does not have a gender system, only vestigial gender in singular third-person pronouns. Furthermore, a great deal of e.g. gender is not by similarities but differences. It is important pragmatically to distinguish between the sun and the moon, so the words for them tend to be put in different genders. The same is true for men and women. But it isn't much more than accident that in French, the sun is masculine and the moon feminine, while in German it's the other way around. Most of any gender system is because of this, which I call _discerption,_ which effectively is dissimilarity. Something new becomes part of culture--like a new vegetable--so depending on the pragmatic needs, you either put it in the same gender as the words for another vegetable or a different gender from the words for another vegetable. Predicting when is tricky, but the psycholinguists got pretty good at it using Shannon information theory. Oh, and the purpose of these classification systems, or rather their diachronically evolved function, is to make it easier to connect different parts of utterances bigger than simply phrases. This explains the popularity of pronouns. It also makes using adjectives as nouns a lot easier. (It that really an also, or is it related to pragmatics and interpretactics? Too much there for a RUclips comment.)

Interestingly, currently I created the writing system first, and there are some pronunciations that were created after the writing system was created. When writing, I often think of Chinese oracle bone inscriptions, which are very vivid. Most of the writing is similar to hieroglyphs but more like pictures. To put it bluntly, most are richer and more intelligible than many hieroglyphics today. But I can't decide if I want to announce it at some point? I tend to be taciturn, and I worry about someone attempt steal what I create.

I haven't quite realised how up-to-date Czech spelling actually is. Since the modern spelling was basically developed in late 18th century and has been updating relitvely regularly, we actually do read (almost) everything as it is written, and even when a non-native person reads everything as written, it isn't considered a mistake, since it's such a marginal thing

in mine i came up with the script pretty early on in the process, im still at a partial protolang yet i have a mostly complete end script and two fonts (tho one has old/wrong number symbols) from one branch, a start on an end script for a branch somewhat close to that, and have some thoughts on a third more basal branch. i started with every symbol starting a word that meant something related to that symbol, so the symbol that originated with a depiction of fire, is the first character in the protolang for fire (although there’s some vowel associations as well for consonants). i then evolved them and came up with a pattern and style for them to converge towards.

People seem to forget that no animal evolves to be perfectly efficient because at some point technically superior features grant no more reproductive benefit than mediocre ones. Individuals are just temporary vessels for genes to pass through. The genes don’t give a damn how easy or happy the life of any individual is.

I have a theory about this series: episode 2 is fresh out of a mass extinction. It explains why polypods and anthostomes are both well developed and designed to avoid predators, but all the niches are empty and said predators don't exist. They went extinct, while polypods and anthostomes survived.
